Sustainability

Marquette Mountain Resort aims to connect people to nature. We are committed to providing a space for future generations to enjoy. Here are just a few small efforts we’ve made.

Going Paperless

We are converting operations to use less paper. Beginning in the 2020/21 season, we created an online shop for season passes, lift tickets, and rental purchases, eliminating the need to print waste.

Investing in Efficieny

Equipment upgrades were made this year to decrease our carbon footprint. The mountain is equipped with LED lighting which allows us to consume less energy during night skiing. In addition, upgrades to our snowmaking system allows for more water to be transported with less energy.

Restaurant & Bar

Our Food and Beverage Department is creating a recycling and composting program to divert waste from landfills. We aim to increase the use of compostable to-go containers and phase out plastic straws with the “Skip the Straw” initiative.

Skip the Straw

New this year, straws will only be served with drinks upon request. This is a simple & easy step towards protecting the Great lakes from pollution.
