MMR Hosting 2023 Meijer State Games of Michigan Ski & Snowboard Competition

Marquette Mountain Resort is proud to announce that for the second straight year we’ll be hosting the 2023 Meijer State Games of Michigan ski and snowboarding competition. Come to the Mountain Feb. 10 for the games’ opening ceremony and watch the Midwest’s premier snowsport athletes vie to take home a medal. Races run through Feb. 12 (for a full schedule, visit https://stategamesofmichigan.com/events/marquette/ski-snowboard2023) and include:

• Rail Jam – Participants complete as many runs as they can in 30 minutes.
• Slopestyle – Two timed runs per athlete.
• Slalom / Giant Slalom – Timed-race competition (bibs will be assigned).
• Boarder-Cross / Ski – Heat-style races with top times advancing to next competition.

Last year featured some truly great performances, acrobatics and athleticism. This year’s games should be even more exciting on our championship-caliber runs with newly installed snowmaking infrastructure – the most modern technology in use in the Upper Peninsula.  

This Olympic-style event is a must-see for all snowsport enthusiasts. Admission is free but spectators who want to watch from the mountain must purchase a lift ticket at The Chalet.
