Marquette Mountain Resort Hosting Championship Round of LSPR Auto Race
MARQUETTE, Mich. (October 5, 2022) – Billed as the “Oldest, Meanest, Toughest Rally on the Circuit,” the ninth round and final stage of the Lake Superior Performance Rally is coming to Marquette Mountain Resort on Saturday, Oct. 15.
More than 70 drivers are competing in the rally, racing production-based vehicles down the mountain’s steep slopes and tight curves on a gravel-and-tarmac course with 113-competition miles.
“This is the second year we’re hosting this exciting race and we’re expecting a great turnout for this championship stage of the rally,” said Kaet Johnson, General Manager of Marquette Mountain Resort. “It’s a fantastic event that gives visitors a new way to experience the mountain with the roar of engines and white-knuckle maneuvers – and this race will determine the 2022 National Overall Driver Champion in the American Rally Association series.”
Marquette Mountain Resort, Johnson added, is offering two spectator options this year – general mountain access for $5 and lift-ride viewing to the top of the mountain for an additional $15. Order your tickets today.
