Snowshoe Rentals: What You Need to Know
Looking for a new way to enjoy the beauty of Marquette this winter? Our snowshoe rentals make exploring the great outdoors at your own pace easy. Whether you’re heading out for a peaceful trek through the woods or joining one of our lantern-lit snowshoe hikes, we’ve got the gear you need.
Where to Rent:
Snowshoes are available in person only at the Mountain Shop—they cannot be reserved online.
Rental Equipment:
We offer Atlas Treeline and Range models with the Boa® Fit System, providing comfort and a secure fit for your adventure. Choose from the following sizes based on your weight:
- 25” (Men’s) – 120-200 lbs.
- 27” (Women’s) – 120-200 lbs.
- 30” (Men’s) – 150-250 lbs.
Rental Rates:
- 1-Day Rental – $20/day (Due back by close or by 10 a.m. the next day)
- 2-Day/Weekend Rental – $35 (Due back by close on day two)
Where You Can Use Them:
- Snowshoes can be taken offsite for your personal adventures
- They may also be used at Marquette Mountain Resort during lantern-lit snowshoe hikes or other published snowshoe activities
- They may not be used on open ski terrain
How to Rent
Renting snowshoes is simple! Just visit the Mountain Shop during operating hours. Here’s what you’ll need:
- A credit card on file
- A signed rental waiver
- Knowledge of weight guidelines to ensure the best fit

(Peak Season: Dec 20 – Mar 23)
- Monday: 9:30am – 4:00pm
- Tuesday – Friday: 9:30am – 8:00pm
- Saturday: 8:30am – 8:00pm
- Sunday: 8:30am – 4:00pm
